I have a C5 that can't do zigbee anymore (zigbee network offline...etc). Any ideas for what I could use that for? I have other hubs doing their jobs, but wondering if this is useful in some esoteric way, or if I should just bin it.
Ideas?

Could use HubMesh to bring devices to it and use it to run rules
You can use it for apps that use a lot of resources or for cloud connections. Keep things there that might impact your main hub.
I have one that I use for testing stuff. It has a bunch of virtual devices setup on it for this purpose.
Never! Such a small thing to keep around and still useful. One day you'll want it if you get rid of it, that's just how it works. I'm sure you have other unused smart home devices. Just store it away with them until you eventually find a use for it.
I whole heartily agree with using it with Hub Mesh to distribute load. I have three hubs, but only use two. Always nice to have a spare at the ready.
they make good dog toys...
just kidding...
Most of us here have a "tech museum" that these things go into for future tinkering and nostalgia purposes. As was already said, they also are good for testing IP integrations.
Okay, thanks all. If I had a need to off-board some rules or needed more than one hub, this would be perfect. Great ideas.
