Is the Bosch BTH-RM "Room thermostat II" supported as a thermostat device?

Title says it all really - is this Zigbee room thermostat supported natively or with a community driver on Hubitat?
Thanks.

These devices need to be paired using Zigbee Install Codes, a feature that Hubitat does not support yet.

It's really a bummer as I would love to test those Bosch toys.

Thank you - wasn't sure if that was just for their smart home hub, but clearly for this too.

Do you (or anyone else) know if that's a feature on the Hubitat roadmap?

Zigbee devices that include install codes per spec should join networks without using the install code.
Now having said that I have no idea if this device will work or not since we don’t currently have any of these devices to test with
Where are these available?

They have a website at:

and Amazon also:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Bosch-Thermostat-heating-compatible-Assistant/dp/B0BKLSJ3TN

So - based on your "should work" statement, I'll give it a go - I've ordered one of the thermostats and TRVs from Amazon - if they don't work, I'll send them back (or maybe you'd like to see them to get them to work...?) let's see how it goes.

From the z2mqtt page I understand that this device won't pair without the install code, but my understanding can be wrong.

@youra please let us know how it goes.

We had some communication with another client with a different brand of thermostat with a QR code that wouldn't join, they called the manufacturer and were given a button press sequence on the device that initiated classic inclusion, that manufacturer wasn't nearly as large as Bosch so YRMV.

So the TRV has arrived - (Room thermostat in a couple of days) and it's not really playing nice - there is no install code with the TRV, and when I try to join HE find the device, and tries to initialise, but that doesn't work in the standard manner - I tried also joining while exchanging keys in the clear, and that sort of works - HE thought everything was fine and gave me a device page, but the TRV itself didn't think initialisation was finished, and didn't do anything useful. Behaviour is very much like what happens when I try to join some Tuya Zigbee products (this is all with my C8). `just in case, I tried the C7, but as that doesn't give you the option of clear key exchange, I got nowhere useful.
Bosch I see do a Matter version of the TRV at least - I guess that should "just work" ?
I'll report back on the room Thermostat when that arrives.

Actually - scrub that - there is an install code, I had misunderstood where it was. I've emailed Bosch technical support - let's see what they say.

Thermostat has arrived - less functional than the TRV - the fact that a new device is trying to join the Mesh is recognised, but we get no further than "Initialising...." and eventually it all times out.
I got a reply from Bosch tech support (although I think it's first line support rather than someone who really knows what's going on), which (to paraphrase slightly) says if you can't use the install code, you're out of luck as you clearly don't meet the spec.
Interestingly, I found an SiLabs document which says:

With the creation of the Zigbee 3.0 standard in late 2016, all Zigbee devices capable of joining networks (as opposed to forming them) must support the use of installation codes during joining, as this is a requirement for Zigbee 3.0 compliance.

So I guess until HE supports installation codes, these devices (and potentially an increasing number of other ones?) are out of reach. Shame, they look good and have apparently excellent battery life.

Any chance that installation code support is coming along soon?
