Is my HE Hub in pairing mode?

New to the party. Can you tell? :slightly_smiling_face:
Just installed my HE hub, and I'm trying to pair my first device, an Iris V1 door contact from the discovery devices page, with no success. I am using a fresh battery, and I hold down the little reset button as I reinstall the battery. I only hold the button for a few seconds before letting it go.

My question is, how do I know if my HE hub is in pairing mode?
Should the little green light on the Hub blink? That's what my old Iris hub did as well as my ST hub.

I'm sure I'm making some very basic newbie mistake based on all the pairing success messages I've read.

thanks in advance for any guidance!

You put it in pairing mode.
Go to Devices in the menu.
Then click on the 'discover zigbee and zwave device' button.
From here you can select whether you want to pair a zigbee OR zwave device.
When you click on, say zigbee, your hub is now in zigbee pairing mode.
Now put your device in pairing.
It should now be discovered.

There is actually a tab in discover devices for Iris V1 sensors to select to pair

For the V1 sensors take the battery out and hold the button for approximately 8 seconds. Reinsert the battery and press the button 8 times. The LED on the device should start blinking. Then discover the device through device discovery.

Thanks. I realize that I put it in pairing mode, but was wondering if there was positive indication of that on the hub, like seeing the light blinking. I now know that it does not blink to indicate that.

But your response made me realize that I did not have the most recent upgrade to the user portal, so I went and got it, so thank you for that!

Thanks. I did not see that tab until realizing I wasn't up to date on my portal version.
Now that I have it, I see why people are commenting on what a positive update that was.

Pairing became a simple process after that.

Thanks. Worked like a charm.
I'm pairing like a pro thanks to the three responses I received to my first post!
