“Shouldn’t” affect devices, but starting to make a plan b maybe a good idea.
I use to be a big fan of their robots, went through multiple iterations! But unfortunately, they got surpassed by competitors in features and price.
I had 2 of them in the beginning as they were the leader but as they started to fumble I switched to RoboRock.
I still hear "Bumper Stuck" in my sleep.
Does that little head stick up all the time...looks like it would keep it from fitting under lower couches (which we happen to have)?
Being tall people I have already jacked up the couches.
La-z-boy thinks we're all 160 cm tall; I'm 193, the kids are past me.
I did have to jack it up another Lidar lift but it was fine.
Just hit the shop to do some woodworking.
I see a few companies are coming out with Lidar-less vacuums and relying on just cameras.
We know how that's going eh Elon? ![]()
I’ve seen some newer models, not sure if Roborock or Ecovacs, that now have the ability to pop-out the lidar and retract it to fit under shorter furniture. Pretty cool, until the point where visual only is sufficient… (It works for me and I mostly don’t bump into things all the time, so I figure it should also work for a robot!) ![]()
