Iris v1

Hi I just ordered my hubitat, and I was curious if it supported iris version 1 devices.

I found this bulb on clearance and was hoping it would work

Thanks I am really looking forward to getting my hub and seeing what I can do with it

unlikely, though I don't know if anyone's tried this bulb yet.
The other version 1 iris devices aren't compatible with anyone's hub except Iris.

So the answer is maybe.

Yeah I saw that, hopefully they will work.. Lowes had them on clearance for 1.80 each..so I bought all 10. My hub arrives Wednesday, so I will let everyone know for sure..

Did the Gen ! devices work with Hubitat afterall?

They do not, get a refund on them while you can.
The will not work with any other ha platform that I'm aware of either.

Systronics is kicking off a private beta of their platform which will support V1 devices so all hope is not lost for those

Thanks! I've already processed my refund and will wait patiently for it while I transition to Hubitat. I might hold onto the devices for a few months after the shutdown to see what the community comes up with.

Also, from the Lowes Website

"Iris is intending to open source portions of its smart home software pending a third-party security review of the code and will name it Arcus. โ€œArcusโ€ is the Roman name for the Greek goddess โ€œIris.โ€ Iris wants the smart home enthusiast and developer communities to be able to benefit from the hard work and development of its platform software. The software will be part of the public domain and available for the community pending the third-party review of the code. More details will be available over the coming weeks."

I'll put of throwing away Gen 1 devices for now.
