Iris conversion for thermstat and Orbit irrigation

I have/(had until March 31) an Iris Hub driven home system. They have given us owners a buy out and paid us for the Iris specific devices. I have since purchased a Hubitat hub with hopes of getting back to a smarter home. I'm going to start out small and build up. My first conversion is with my Honeywell TH8320ZW stat. So far I've been able to disconnect it from the old Iris hub and connected it to the HE hub. It is there but now how do I do anything with it? I am a novice at this and have no idea how to allow me to set or reset my stat on my iPhone and laptop.
I also have an Orbit 12 station lawn irrigation device made specifically to work on the Iris system. I was thinking instead of operating the Orbit on my HE I would simply control the three 24 vac zone valves. All I need is watering once per week when there is no rain for a while. What I do now while I'm away for a few months in the summer, is put my Orbit on manual and keep an eye on my Acurite weather station remotely. Are there 24 vac relays that can controlled by my HE system? Can the HE communicate with an Acurite weather station? No rain = turn on a program that will water the lawn once a week until it rains again???

That's all up to you. There are many things you could do with it under Apps.
Some people want to schedule their Thermostat, so you can use Thermostat Scheduler:

I personally have Rules set up that modify the setpoints when my house goes into different modes: Home, Away, and Night.
Home and Away are driven by presence for me.

There are multiple ways to do this as well.
You can use SharpTools, which is probably the best option right now.
A new Dashoboard 2.0 is coming out soon which will allegedly have a much nicer Thermostat Tile, so then you could use what's built in to Hubitat.

The Orbit system... I don't know, did you get that paired? Is it Z-Wave/Zigbee?

It seems to me that I should be able to connect to my dashboard. It doesn't show up on the main Hubitat screen. Any suggestions?

Are you referring to the orbit sprinkler?

Hubitat comes with a library of apps you MIGHT want to use. You must first Install the App by clicking Apps. Find the app you want in the list and click on it and follow it's directions to complete the Install. THEN you can go back to the App menu and you'll see your new App in the list. Click it and start configuring it.

OK, Install first, then USE it. I think you're saying you cannot use Dashboard.. and I'm thinking you didn't install it?

However, Dashboard is the 2nd thing to use. First is the Device Info page for each individual device you join/pair to the Hub. Use that page for a few minutes to verify the interconnect between the Hub and the device is working. THEN when you add the device to a Dashboard, you'll know it should work and are debugging only the Dashboard not everything.

I've decided not to incorporate the Orbit 12 station sprinkler device into my new system. Instead I'm looking for some zwave relays that will turn on each of the 3 zones based on letting them run on an automatic schedule once a week or manual mode letting me run a manual cycle. I'm looking for 24 vac relays or a module that has multiple relays (at least 3). Any ideas of best place to find relays?

One suggestion would be to use a dry contact device. There are several brands that have a dual relay and a single relay to get to your 3 needed. A 24VAC transformer that is used by other watering systems could then be connected as your power source. HE then would control the relay and you can create a rule to control them when needed.

That is what I'm looking for. I saw relays on Amazon but run on 80-250 vac. Where would I find the two gang unit you mentioned ?

Rachio has a builtin Hubitat Integration.

I have EtherRain and I built a driver for it.. but can't figure out what to do with it  The integration that's native to Etherrain (via LawnCheck) is superior to what I'd code up.

OK. I've paired my Honeywell zwave stat. I see it in my devices (the only device). I've loaded SharpTools app and see it on my Apps page. I still don't see "Dashboard" on my site. I checked out Ron Nutter's video on Youtube, com. He "simply" set up an outlet switch by pairing it and then clicked on his "Dashboard" button and there was the switch. Mine does not have a Dashboard button?

Ok.. let's start at the beginning... Have you Installed the Dashboard app from the menu?

Once you have Installed the App, you can begin to use it. 'Til then, there's no such thing as Dashboard on your hub

Click Apps in the left menu.. the Installed apps are listed alphabetically. If you don't have a Dashboard, click the button in the upper right corner "Add Built-In App", scroll to the H's and click on Hubitat Dashboard. It will give you an install screen asking you to click Done.

Now, when you click on Apps in the left menu, you'll have a Dashboard row. Click it, and then follow the instructions found here:

I guess it is a single dry contact, my bad. Here is a few of them.

I found the Hubitat Dashboard app., clicked on it and "Dashboard" now appears on the main screen.

When clicked on it I get :
his XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.

I followed the link you sent, It says:

  • Load the Hubitat™ Dashboard App in the Hubitat Web Interface.
  • Click on Create a New Dashboard

I don't see the "Create a New Dashboard" anywhere.

Still lost. ..I appreciate all your help.

So.. start with #1, click Apps...

Then scroll to Dashboards and click it... you'll see the title above, like #2.

Click on #3 to create a new blank dashboard and to select devices. When you're done, you'll see a new row like #4 - where you can add or subtract devices on your individual dashboards.

And if you want to use SharpTools.io dashboards:

  1. Open your SharpTools.io User Page
  2. Tap the Manage Connections button
  3. Select Hubitat
  4. Login with your Hubitat credentials and follow the authorization prompts

I am so totally lost on transitioning from Iris to HE. Hey, I'm 75 and can't even tweet! I need someone, who will be compensated, to work with me one on one. Look over my shoulder online and help me get started. I've loaded my Honeywell z-stat and it looks paired, but I can't do anything with it.
Any ideas?
