Ipad cannot connect to hub locally

new problem where my ipad cannot connect to my hub locally but my iphone can I have rebooted everything but no joy My ipad state (cloud) on the connect page and will only allow remote admin. This is a recent thing. I was able to connect locally before. Iphone and Ipad are both on the same wifi network. Hub is connected via Ethernet.

Also, I deleted the app, reinstalled and now it will not switch the landscape. It’s stuck in portrait mode no matter the physical orientation of my ipad. I feel like I’m losing my mind.

Check iPad “rotation lock”

Nope. Everything else flips as you would expect. I know there are apps that don’t respect aspect but it was working until I uninstalled and reinstalled.

Yeah. Lotsa ginger jam on screen

Hmm, mine rotates UNTIL I connect to a hub, then it doesn’t.

Try connecting to your hub using a web browser on the iPad, instead of using the app.

That will determine if the app is the problem, or if you have some type of basic networking issue with the iPad.

My local ip address is 192.168.1.252. Reserved ip address on dhcp. I put that in chrome on my iphone and it logs in. On my ipad it times out. Very strange.

After some googling, resetting network settings seems to have corrected things. Very strange. However it still will not go into landscape mode.

Okay. Somehow “allow rotation” got turned off in the “more” tab. What the heck? I didn’t even know thst was a thing. Gremlins.
