iOS Widget

I am starting the process of migrating from ST to HE. So far we have only transferred our door locks, garage door and HUE lights. Today, my wife told me she really liked the old system (ST) better because it was much faster to load the widget from the lock screen than to unlock the phone and open the HE dashboard.

Is there a way for me to have a widget with HE? How do we make it easy to access from the lock screen?

TIA

You could use IFTTT to create widgets that run HE automations. Or by setting up homebridge, you could access favorite devices in the control center (since homebridge ties in to the ios Home app).

You could also create iOS Shortcuts that utilize the Hubitat Maker API to create simple widgets. Not as easy to use as IFTTT to get set up and configured, but it does have the advantage of directly connecting to your hub via the Hubitat Cloud Endpoint (or via Local LAN.)

homekit/homebridge FTW! its apple’s preferred way of interacting with home automation.

Thank you everyone! I went with the IFTTT option and it worked like a charm.
