iOS App is so buggy. Please QA and fix

Please QA your iOS app. I'm having nothing but issues. The UI needs work, but that aside, things simply don't work.

Here's some examples:

Go to settings. Try to tap on "Diagnostics". The button is none responsive. (So are some of the others).

When launching the app, you go immediately to "Link New Hub" if one is found. No way to cancel that operation. I currently can't use the app as there's no way to bypass that screen. I'm stuck using the web interface.

When selecting the hub that it found, it says "Saving Hub", then times out with a 504.

When attempting to claim a Hub, there is no way to cancel the operation if you change your mind.

Every time I use my phone, it attempts to register my device. There is absolutely no need as it's done it dozens of times before. And, if I'm not using location services, it shouldn't do it at all.

I added a new Hub today. It forgot one of my other hubs. I can no longer get it back. I can no longer access it via the Hubitat app, only via it's IP address with a web browser.

When searching for new Hubs, it simply doesn't work. I have two hubs connected to my network (same LAN), none of them are found via a scan. (mDNS, IP range etc.)

I could go on, but there are so many issue.... please QA the app, it's incredibly frustrating.

Here's another one...
findmyhub.hubitat.com

Typed in my Hub's MAC address (as no of the other methods found it).

It shows: "Discovered Hubs:" and lists my hub with a "Connect To Hub" button.

Tapping on the button does nothing. (Unable to connect to the hub).

I think this is specific to your setup; I’m an iOS user and don’t see these issues.

It might be helpful if you provided the type/model of your device and iOS version, and mobile app version. I'm not seeing this on my iPhone or iPad, both running 26.3.1.

I don't see any of these issues either. And I don't see a "Dignostics" button.

What iPhone, iOS version, Hub, Hub platform version are you on?

Same. Zero issues with the iOS app on multiple Apple devices.

iOS 26.3.1
Hubitat 2.4..135

I will admit some of the issues (ex. Button press) could be an iOS bug, but things like hub search failing, are not.

Very odd. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the app. I’m on iOS 26.3.1.

Diagnostics (Diagnostic Tool) are under Settings after you “Connect to hub”. Same location as setting network settings,

Ok, hub firmware is a bit behind, but that shouldn't be the issue. Again, what mobile app version do you have? Current version is 2.1.60 (460).

OK. Didn't realize you were referring to the actual hub settings menu. All of those links work fine for me.

Which Hubitat app do you have installed? You want the one in the app store with the green icon that says Hubitat Elevation. It should be app version 2.1.60.

Thanks, that’s the one I have.

Latest one from the App Store. Just uninstalled and reinstalled today.

I am experiencing none of the issues you've described with my Hubitat Mobile App running on my iPhone or iPad.

Please describe your home network topology. Do you have multiple VLANs, special firewall settings, or anything else that could possibly be interfering with communications between the Hubitat Mobile App and your HE Hub(s), or between the HE Hub(s) and the Hubitat Cloud server, or between the Hubitat Mobile App and the Hubitat Cloud server?

I've just checked all of what you listed above and am not having any issues. Works fine. Based on similar responses I have to suspect it's something specific to your phone. Do you have another ios device to try (someone elses phone or an ipad?) That would help confirm things.

That said, I almost never use the app except for occasional smart start devices. By and large I prefer a PC for doing everything on the hub.

Here's one: I can't remove a device from Favorites on my home screen. When I go to the device and uncheck the favorites star, it says "Success! Device removed from favorites" and when I return to the home screen, the device is gone. However, when I refresh the home screen it re-appears, and when I refresh the device page, the star shows up with the favorites star checked again. Toggling Favorite Devices doesn't fix this.

App version 2.1.60 (460), Hub version 2.4.3.176

Yep, that issue I can replicate! Good find!

Have you tried all of the issues I mentioned?

Some issues I’ll contend could be iOS bugs (such as not registering a button tap), but searching for hubs and not finding them, or the issue when claiming a hub are likely not iOS issues. Or “losing” a hub from my account, etc.

Yes, all your issues confirmed working on my end. Do you have another device you can try?
