Internet down when away. Everything worked brilliantly

We went away Friday morning for a birthday party to return Sunday lunch time.
Me being me I still check things remotely to make sure everything is as it should be.
Friday night I get a notification that my ST hub is down. VNC into my RPi not working. Cannot access anything remotely. Slightly worried that my curtains won't close at night and open again in the morning and none of my lights will turn on and off simulating us being home.
I shouldn't have worried. Looking at the event logs for my devices when we got home, everything was doing what it should.
Rebooted my router when we got home and we now have remote access again.
Thank you Hubitat.
I'm glad I moved everything over and trusted you to work. If I had still been on ST I would have been screwed and my house would have been advertising that it was empty, please break in!
My trust in this system is 100%.
BTW this is the first time my Internet has crashed this year. Why does it only happen when your away. :frowning:

Good stuff
Isn’t that the whole ‘local V cloud’ argument , right there.
While I’ve yet to actually implement my Home Automation on my home, my test environment has been working and reporting just fine whilst I’ve been overseas for the last 3weeks.
Go Hubitat. :+1:t2:

It most certainly is but you know what it's like, you're never really sure until you experience it. (That's me anyway)!!!!!!!!!
I'm just really pleased everything worked as it should. :sunglasses: :innocent:

That's when you set up a routine that when your ST's hub goes off line, you trigger a smart plug to reboot your router. It's just a thought that came to mind when reading your post. I love my HE. I'm looking forward to the advancements and an app to bring everything together. I can't anticipate moving away from HE. When you figure that one out, please share it. I'd love to do it.

I have 2 WeMo outlets that are not connected to Hubitat.
I use these for rebooting things remotely.
Unfortunately with the Internet down I cannot control them.
