It looks like this article isn't really talking about Matter bulbs "failing," just the fact that some people might have inadvertently set up multiple independent Thread networks, and Thread 1.4 with Thread Credentials Sharing should help with that -- and perhaps some smart bulb problems by proxy (which I guess is the only kind of device people buy? 
) -- by increasing the strength of their mesh if that's the root of the problem.

Sorry about that, I didn't realize there was any other information in that link. I just now saw your request, but it looks like maybe @marktheknife may have already done it?
True, and that is the small kind of thing a lot of people may over look, or not even realize they did in the first place. It may help them in trouble shooting if they are having problems.
