Has anyone had any experience with the new integrated hub mode manager? I've found it relatively easy to use, but i found that the presence sensor logic does not seem to be working the way i expected. I don't see any mention of the new one in the documentation.
Looking at the above image, I would expect that both phones would need to be gone, and then the away mode would activate, at least that's how it worked in the old mode manager. And then when one of us comes back, it would return to the original mode.
So far, i've seen that's not the case. When we are both gone, our presence sensors change to not present, but nothing happens.
There's really only two presence sensor options to choose from so i'm not sure exactly how this is supposed to work or if maybe something is broken? I would appreciate any guidance.
That is exactly how it should work and how it works on mine...
only difference I can see, is that you can set days and not I ??? that is weird, may want to check if you have another rule somewhere that triggers something, check the presence sensor (^phone) driver and check the events, does it trigger the away mode setter in the triggered apps column?
It's interesting that yours mentions that it does not support "day of the week" scheduling. Mine explicitly calls out the days of the week like all the other modes. I've also noticed when i play with the mode manager too much, the gui locks up completely and i have to reboot it from the maintenance menu.
I wonder if something is wrong with my modes that's causing this.
I also checked the logs and saw the Away mode setter and also the sensors departing, so it's definitely noting they're leaving but something is breaking the process i think.
It's a C4 running 2.4.0.151. It's very possible i created one back in the day. I've been running this thing for a long time now so i really don't recall if it's custom or not.
It does seem to recognize that it's an away mode though, cause it shows that "while away mode is active...." message at the top. It just seems to also show that day of week thing. And like i mentioned, it seems like when i start playing around in the config for the Away mode the hub gui just completely locks up. I think specifically it's when i manipulate those days of week.
As another data point, the "new" mode manager (pre integrated manager) works just fine and doesn't not seem to exhibit any issues. It's only the new integrated one that seems broken.
I'm definitely having problems with this mode manager. For me it's the arrival, the mode does not change back to Home. But arrival is being recognised, the app shows inside the geo fence zone, the presence status changes and the notification I have is being triggered, but the mode stay stuck on Away.
I wish I had seen this before I started messing with it... For some reason, I can't even access my hub anymore. The last thing I remember doing was messing with this Rebooting the hub now to see if that does anything... May need to do a hard reset.
