Inovelli question, just e want to confirm

I'm getting ready to replace several dumb switches with black series dimmers or on/off switches. They are all in 2 and 3 way configurations. I just wanted to vefify, I can replace 1 and still use them with the other existing dumb switches, correct?

Yes. However, if your “dumb” switch is an illuminated switch or is dimmable, it will not work.

Nope. They are just regular, dumb builder grade switches. No illumination, no dimmers. Just toggle on/off switches. The house is about a year and a half old.

Ugh - I typed the response but not sure it was the right thread!!

Anyway, I have a black series dimmer in a 2-way working. I got an electrician to wire it and it was a bit fiddly until I played around with some of the settings.

I recall that Inovelli is discontinuing the black series line and they were on sale some time back. You may still be able to snag some if you haven’t already purchased them.

Yep, that's why I asked. I picked up some on that sale and am planning to get an electrician to install them . I also have an older 1st gen switch and a red series dimmer (if I can find it) I'm planning on having installed as well .

Also, for the switches, you will need a neutral wire at the box where you install the Inovelli.
