I setup a C7 hub recently with a bunch of Centralite and Enbrighten Zigbee plugs and the system has been rock solid. I introduced an Innr SP 234 (with power monitoring) yesterday and now my Zigbee network goes offline a few minutes after plugging in the Innr device. I've come across some mentions within the forum of power reporting causing issues, but even when I (factory reset and) disable power reporting the problem still persists. I can't find any mentions of others having issues with Innr plugs (and as far as I can tell they seem to be well respected.) I was wondering if I have a defective unit or if there are some compatibility issues with the other devices on my network. Has anyone else come across any reports of potential issues that might relate to my situation? Any pointers would be appreciated.
While I haven't seen this constant chatter with in-wall zigbee power reporting dimmers/switches, I have with plug in zigbee outlets. Even with power reporting off, they send "something" pretty often back to the hub. Quite a while ago, I had a Peanut plug that sent over 76,000 reports to my old SmartThings hub within a couple hours of it being added. It went into the trash since it had been relegated to the drawer of shame previously. I suggest you send it back. The old GE zigbee plugs report power. I have several and they don't seem to be chatty. If you need power reporting, you can probably still find them. Of course YMMV, but I have had them for a couple years now without issue.
Thanks for the info. Out of curiosity, is there someplace I can see the raw chatter? IIRC, the logs didn't show much (maybe I need to enable debug logging for the device?)
I saw it when I used HubConnect between my two hubs on the Hubconnect server running on my PC. Not worth all that trouble now though. You could see some of it in the Zigbee logs.
