Innovelli switch pairing

I have a couple innovelli switches that are already paired with ST. Moving away from ST. If I understand the sequence of pairing them to the HE. I first need to remove them from ST. Which I think I have done since they are gone from my ST Classic. Next I went into HE and started the discovery process. then I went to the switches and pressed the UP button 6 times. Waited and there was no discovery. Have I missed anything? The switches are about 10 foot away from the hub.

Thanks

The six button presses UP is for exclusion.

On ST start exclusion, press up 6 times within 2 seconds and you should see a message pop up.

Go to HE, power cycle the switch , start discovery and it should show up within 30 seconds.

I moved a couple over from ST and i had to do the ST exclusion a few times before it took. Be patient

Thanks for the speedy reply. I durfed up and didn't do what you suggested for two of my switches, but the third one worked like a charm. Just to figure out how to get the other two excluded, within themselves. ST doesn't show them anymore.

You can do a general device exclusion. Here you go:

ST doesnt have to show them as devices to exclude them. Just start the exclusion process follow directions above.

Got them

Thanks

Good News, they are great switches.

Yeah they are, I have had them for about 8 months now. And as an added bonus they are made in my home state!!

One key point about these switches.
Don't tap them 8 times down.
That causes them to not respond to anything until they are "woken up" (8 times up).

Excluding them or including these switches requires patience - 6 times up/down within 2 seconds.
It's harder to do than it sounds!

The good news is that once they are paired, they can be used (with the button controller) to run something with the appropriate number of taps.

I,ve never pressed them 8 times never had the need to.

I had no problem excluding them from ST but HE doesnt like excluding them for some reason. Hope I never have to lol.

All good so far.. I just use them for basic switching so far.
