When did the initialization screen start saying what it is doing at each percentage? I really do like knowing what it is doing as it boots.

It's new in 2.2.9. It is kinda cool to know, but I suspect that if it ever hangs at any particular point, it will only be useful for staff to know and not me. 
(And I'd just try a reboot from the diagnostic tool first, assuming it is up.)

I am cynical at times, I always think (no matter if Hubitat, Turbotax, Nvidia, or Microsoft) that these splash screens are just something random to entertain the users and not really what is going on behind the scenes.
Not sure if there is any diagnostic value to them. But they are much nicer and a big improvement over the old way.
