Initial Setup

Hi there,
So, I have looked in all of the discussion threads and I’m not really finding anything specific to initial set up. I am having a tough time getting my C8 Pro connected. I go through the steps for initial setup but get stuck after the green light turns on. Almost immediately the light alternates a green and red light. Also, in my Hubitat account it just gives me an error and I can’t navigate anywhere. Attached are a couple screenshots. Not sure if they are uploading correctly. Here is the error text Error

Optional(Error
Domain=KotlinException
Code=0 "Failed to get Hubitat API; the response has code: 404"
UserInfo={NSLocalizedDe-
scription=Failed to get Hubitat API; the response has code: 404,
KotlinException=io.ktor.u-
tils.io.errors.lOException:
Failed to get Hubitat API; the response has code:
404,
KotlinExceptionOrigin=})

Also behind the error screen it says:
“Multiple Hubs found, please select the one you want to connect” but below that it is just blank space.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Red-Green alternating usually means that the hub isn't seeing a network connection. Initial setup information should be at:

How did you connect the hub to your network, Ethernet cable or WiFi?

As @thebearmay said, that flashing pattern indicates the hub couldn’t get an IP address on your home network.

The Hubitat mobile app on your phone won’t be able to do anything until we’ve gotten to the bottom of why the hub can’t get an IP address.

There was a firmware revision that actually had a bug that made the LED blink different colors, even thought everything worked correctly. Updating to the latest firmware will resolve that issue, if by chance the OP's hub is running the buggy version.

Fair point but IIRC most people reporting that had pretty functional hub connectivity right? OP doesn’t seem to…

Thank you for the response! I’ve tried connecting via Ethernet and WiFi. I’ve reset my modem as well and tried again both ways. I’m not the techiest person, so not really sure what my next step would be. All help appreciated!!

Hi. I have never had the system setup. So, updating to the latest firmware wouldn’t apply to my issue, right?

Most likely not applicable, however it depends on what firmware was shipped on the hub, and when you first powered it on and connected it to the Internet. If you just happened to fire it up and register when the know buggy firmware for the LED was released, you could be running that particular version. However, as @marktheknife pointed out - this blinking LED bug did not actually impact the hub's ability to connect to your home network and be accessible from a laptop/desktop computer.
