Just going to add this after reading all the comments..., thanks all for chewing this over.
It is clear that the redundancy solutions for your home/business broadband service are available. We all know this.
But let me reach back to one point and say....the Hubitat Hub does not require more than a mere "bandwidth sipping" connection for 95% or less of the time in any year. Downloading a firmware update being the most demanding load.
So with that in mind, and a cellular radio onboard, you could put this hub ANYWHERE and subscribe to one of the cheap "low data for IOT" cell services and satisfy a remote automation & monitoring function (notice I didn't explicitly say "Home").
I realize that concept doesn't spin everyone's top...I realize it would be an added expense to add that capability...but there is a market for it that will grow with 5G coverage. I get that Hubitat might not be the company to serve it.
EDIT: Oh and I'm going to just leave this post here, further pondering what all that people do that MIGHT be skip-able in a "remote setup" if the HE Hub had cellular capability. Again, assuming cell coverage.
