I would like my mode to switch from away when I unlock my lock. Please add "Locks" to the "Set mode with Switches" area. A lock is just a switch with a password.
Just make a rule for it in RM.

How do I set a rule to "RETURN from away mode?" how does the rule know which mode to set?
Guessing he has multiple modes. You could do it with a virtual presence sensor though I think. Or do what I did and control modes via RM.
A mode for Home would be handy where Home makes it pick the correct non-away mode.
Just have multiple rules. With different actions depending on the current mode .....
I do not have a mode for home. I have a mode for Day, Evening, Night, Morning, Early Morning.. and of course Away.. Because when I am not AWAY I want the house to operate accordingly to the time of day. It seems I am not the first person to have this problem...

They did the same thing you to that person that you are doing to me right now. I have a legitimate request with a legitimate problem that you are belittling by trying to tell me I can work around it. And I can.. I will have to setup a virtual switch then code a tie between the lock and the switch so that the mode manager can react to the switch.. instead of the lock.. which, technically is also a switch... Because you all ignored that guys issue years ago.
I am simply asking you as nicely as I can.. to include "locks" in with the "switches" on the mode manager. This is a legitimate feature request that should not require "a work around".

So what you are saying is, that I should create my own set of rules to act like the mode manager plugin.. because... I am sorry I am very confused here.. I am asking for a FEATURE REQUEST and your response is.. Meh, just make your own?
I'm not belittling you. The point is that Rule Machine can accommodate your needs.
In the example above, when you return from Away mode, you can set conditionals based on time of day to choose which mode to set between Day, Evening, Night etc.
You can absolutely ask for a feature request. But what are you going to do until that request is considered, and possibly implemented?
So you are telling me to stop using the mode manager and write my own???? WHY??? Just add the lock to the list and all is good. And clearly other people will be served by this simple FEATURE REQUEST!

I'm offering you a solution that will work today. Hubitat Staff may very well consider your request and implement it. But they won't implement it today.
P.S. you do realize I'm a community member, just like you, correct?
I have a work around for the moment. I am simply trying to get a feature request in that should have been here long ago. Good news! Based on my conversation here I came up with another feature request! (:
