Illumination sensor that can distinguish direct sunlight

I have a west window. In the winter the sun angle causes the afternoon sun to shine into the living room. There are blinds that can be shut to prevent this. Is there an illumination sensor that can detect direct sunlight? I.E. "outdoor" brightness vs reflected brightness? Maybe a sensor with a narrow angle of view?

If you place the illuminance sensor on the window, there should be a huge difference in the illuminance readings when the sun shines directly on the sensor compared to a sunny day when the sunlight does not reach the sensor directly. You may need to place something over it to reduce the sensitivity ...

I am thinking of placing it on the wall that gets direct sunlight. I really want to know that direct sunlight is hitting an area.

I would use any sensor with a good resolution; better than 0 - <1000 Lux.
Then record what light you get on indirect and direct; you will have a large swing.
Then use RM or WebCore to simply set a boolean (or whatever you need) to say is this between 0 and 1000 lux then indirect:0, is this 2500- infinity then direct:1 sunlight.

I was also thinking that I could use some window tint on the sensor to avoid sensor over-saturation if needed. I will probably have to buy a sensor and play around. I doesn't seem that anybody here has done something similar.
