Not sure where you got this information but this is not the case. Device Event history will remain in the web interface and will not be in the mobile app.

Mobile app will be push notifications, geofence / presence and dashboard access at launch.

I'm still hooked on actiontiles right now mainly for the overall look and feel/UI, but starting to explore the native dashboarding capability a bit … Is it possible to somehow display a list of "recent" events from devices.
