I dont need the antennas

Looking forward, hubs that are used without radios.
If i buy a C8, but donot want to use it for ZB ZW,
Turn off the radios, loose the sticks?

How long are the C7's going to be around for purchase from Hibitat?
As a side question...

We will continue to have C-7 in stock at hubitat.com/products.

Curious...what will your c8 do for you.

To answer this part of your question: the antennas are only used for Zigbee and Z-Wave. So, if you aren't using either of these protocols, there should be no problem not connecting them (unless you change your mind and can't find them  ). As you may know, there'd also be little reason to choose one hub model over another in this case.

First one replaces a C4 that runs both ZW and ZB meshes.
Thinking more to replacing 2 other C4 that handle specific tasks, like speach announcements, web interaction.

The C4 mesh controller just stopped on me the other day, had to unplug and repower it. Quite convinced that is on its way out after quite a lot of up time, it is the second one i purchased.

Continuing the saga, it did it again.
Had a blue light, not handling devices, no access :80, :8080, :8081...
So the power gets cut, count to 16, power it back up, running fine again.
A C8 is on its way.
My experiance with the lights on a C4 is not good, most have not worked.
Sooooooo what does a solid blue light mean?
It reboots and comes back with the solid blue!

Because i have no time, i am going to swop out an existing C4 with another one.
Install the C8 in the other C4's place.
Am i able to just swop the existing C4 to the C8? (As i have done in the past?)
