This is my first post on this forum, and while I am not new to home automation, I am new to the Hubitat Elevation and in-wall Z-Wave dimmers. I just received and configured my HE yesterday, and I want to grow my Z-Wave network with in-wall dimmers and preferably 700 series devices wherever I can first.
Disclosure: I have been using an ISY-994i ZW Pro for a hub for many years. My in-wall switches are all INSTEON, and I would like to change those to Z-Wave and use the Hubitat to control those. I currently have 15 Z-Wave devices of various brands, all plug-in modules except for a door lock.
After looking at the Hubitat compatibility list, I am unsure what to buy because I have many Feit dimmable retrofits: https://thd.co/31enr1H which seem to be a problem for many Z-Wave dimmers. Inovelli and Zooz seem to discourage them or are not compatible. Unless anyone has any other suggestions, I was thinking about trying an Aoetec illumino to see how they work. It's disappointing because I love the RGB color notifications on some of the other dimmers. These lights dim well with an Insteon SwitchLinc. I could replace the LEDs, but my wife likes them.
