I am unable to pair z-wave Switch WS15Z5-1 with Hubitat Rev C-8 Version 2.4.1.155.
Did anyone have a better luck?
Is this switch not supported with Hubitat Hub?
I appreciate any suggestions?
Thank you,
Not a WS15Z5-1 Z-Wave expert but this process usually works for me with troublesome devices.
First, Exclude the switch using the Hubitat C8 hub.
Once that works you should be able to Include (and if needed Reset) it.
Or, you might need to Reset it before you can Exclude it.
Thank you for the information.
I will try it and see...
I was able to clear the Hubitat controller and exclude all devices. And I did reset the WS15Z5-1 switch to factory default and exclude it from the Hubitat network.
After i put the Hub in discovery mode and add device, it detect the switch and discovered it.
However, on the phone app, the switch is discovered but it is marked as "unsupported" device.
the logs on the hub shows:

I am not sure how to upload a screen shot of the device's page, but my device appears with question mark. and the phone app shows it as "Unsupported".
For posting screenshots and some good info:
Then have a look at your Device Detail Page > Device Info tab.
Check that the Type is Generic Z-Wave Plus Switch
If not you'll need to change the Driver, aka the Type selection...
Edit: Forgot the Plus, oops.
I've given image-posting permission to your account.
Can you control the device from the device page? Make sure it is using the "Generic Z-Wave Plus Switch" driver.
I used the generic z-wave plus driver, still showing as unsupported device.
I am not able to do any functionality. not even on/off.
From your screenshot, you are using the default driver - it's called "Device". You need to change the driver to "Generic Z-Wave Plus Switch". And then click Configure on the device page.
I will try it again.
thank you for this info..
Please click Save after changing the driver. And then click "Configure" on the device page.
The selection of a new switch falls under device tab no matter what and it appears under device tab list
I am not sure what I am doing wrong!
Please read the directions in @Ranchitat's reply .... also linked below.
Thank you so much!
It works as expected.
I really appreciate your help!!!
do you know how many light switches the Hubitat C8 can support?
I have over 200 of them in the building..
