Hue Outdoor motion sensors on C8

Yup

That's a good point. Say I try to move my problem sensors to the hue bridge. The only things repeating for it are older bulbs (Guessing ZLL only)

Not a problem. The zigbee profile doesnโ€™t impact capacity to repeat.

I did not know that. Good info!

Just chiming in to this thread.
I bought a Hue sensor a year or ago.
Started failing on motion last month so I thought I would open it up and change the batteries.
Full of water!
No amount of cleaning and electronic spray has brought the PIR back to full functionality.
Going to try the Zooz ZSE70 as this seems more reliable.
Price is better just sad I will have to stock another battery other than AA Li for the outdoor stuff.

same as others i had trouble initialially on c8 with them. but with firmware updates etc. now they are rock solid and the battery lasts for years.. power outages or not although the hub itself is on an ups that can last for hours on a power outage. and i make sure to have both zwave and zigbee devices that have a battery backup and can repeat during a power outgage.

for zigbee i use the sonoff dongle repeater on a usb battery.. 2-3 in each house at stratgic locations.

i think you @velvetfoot had issues because if i recall you REFUSE to use repeaters with zigbee so maybe that is the cause.

I have tons of Z-wave LR devices-solid as a rock.

At one time I had a s load of Centralite zigbee plugs.
Things weren't working right-need a later version of Zigbee firmware, I was told.
Replaced them all with a newer version of another make-I forget the name now, but it was a trendy one.
That screwed up-those 7 second micro outages, reboots, whatever.
I had good luck with those Hues on standalone until the first outage hit.
Take 'em down, mess with 'em, put 'em back up.
The second time, fuggedaouit-they're gone.

I have one Zigbee device remaining-a Sinope propane tank level, which works just fine all by its lonesome way out and down in the yard, with a 3-car garage, and breezeway in the middle.

Looking back, I see I said most of that already.
