Hi all,
I have already a Hue Hub with 15 devices; I plan to buy more than 40 Hue bulbs therefore I need a second hub.
I read somewhere here it would be better to add the bulbs to the Hue Hub because of the better network (mesh) stability.
Is that true? Is really a benefit?
I definitely believe in using the Hub bridge (hub) along with the Hubitat Hub. Much better stability for your Zigbee mesh network.
Have you considered using Smart Switches/Dimmers instead of so many smart bulbs? Most find it to be a more reliable, robust, and family/guest friendly approach to adding some 'smarts' to one's home lighting.
You can always grab a second Hue bridge and add that to Hubitat as well. I believe Phillips was having a sale recently for 4 Hue white dimmable bulbs + Hue bridge for $60. So, that's a pretty decent price to add another Hue bridge (unless you want all RGBW bulbs, of course )

Thanks a lot for your answer.
Yes, I thought about adding the wall switch (with children is better), but I then I lose colors, maybe dimming and color temperature.
Hue hub is the way to go. It reduces the load on your Hubitat’s Zigbee radio. With the Hue hub you can also easily update the Hub bulb’s firmware.

I'd second the continued use of the Hue bridge for the same reasons mentioned. It also gives you the added flexibility of being able to use the Hue app as well if you want / need to.
You may want to see how you go with that number of lights. I know Philips talk about a limit per bridge, but I'm sure I've run that many lights and accessories linked to my bridge (I am in the process of moving mine back to my Hue bridge at the moment).
I've mostly ditched all but 2 of my Hue bulbs for Lifx.... They honestly have been so much nicer. Color accuracy and brightness are way ahead.... (Yes I drank the Lifx koolaid and boy am I glad I did)
You can add the wall switch, just use a Zooz or Innovelli in smart bulb mode. You can keep colors and kelvin temps.
