Not sure if this is a known limit of sharing devices using hubmesh or a bug.
I’m using Red Series inovelli switches and trying to send notifications to the switch to activate the LED bar. I have a couple of switches connected to my main hub using hubmesh. When I attempt to send these switches notifications nothing happens. Nothing appears in the event log.
No, so something else must be going on. However, there are lots of ways you can do this and a few different drivers you might be using, so sharing more information about exactly what you're doing could be better for figuring it out.
But are you sure you aren't having a general Hub Mesh problem? I see another post where modes aren't working for you, either. Does anything? Do any Hub Mesh devices say "offline," or is either hub missing from the other's list in Hub Mesh Settings? Does TCP work if UDP (if that's what you are using now)'doesn't?
I can turn the switch on/off/dim no problem on both hubs. I just cable seem to do anymore than that over hubmesh.
On the main hub under that device setting page it shows all the same advanced options however it doesn’t look like you can change any of the parameter - only view.
How are you trying to start/stop the notifications? There are at least a couple ways you can do so. I can't imagine either being a problem (commands should work, child devices should work; either without anything special required on the other hub), but it might be good to know.
Also, I'm assuming that you have verified that they work as expected on the first hub? Any log entries when you try on the other hub ajdn it doesn't work?
You should see all on both hubs, but the "main" hub (the one it's actually paired to) is the only one that should let you edit them. This is normal and just how Hub Mesh works; preferences are read-only on the other hubs.
