HubMesh Flapping Until Disabled [SOLVED]

HubMesh keeps flapping on a C8Pro hub (one of three meshed C8Pro hubs). The other two hubs mesh successfully without interruption. This is the first issue with HubMesh since setting up this hub in July.

Chain of events ...

  • 9/11 @ 10pm => regularly scheduled cloud backup (which fails on ZWave radio)
  • 9/11 @ 10:10pm => notice that my hub received a SystemStart event, although I did not reboot the hub.
  • 9/12 @ 5am => Other two hubs reboot
  • 9/12 @ 6am => Observe that meshed devices are not functioning on this hub.
  • Since then, reboots re-establish HubMesh until the mesh flaps and ultimately remains off.

Notes

  • The hub has not added devices in weeks.
  • The hub is still interacting with the network successfully. E.g. The Hubitat driver that controls my DVD Player via the network still communicates successfully in both directions (controls the player, and shows status updates).

Since then, I have tried ..

  • multiple router reboots
  • multiple hub reboots (with and without database rebuilds)
  • multiple hub shutdowns with 10 minutes unplugged before startup
  • soft reset with restore to backup before problems surfaced
  • multiple hub firmware versions (latest version and previous two versions)
  • hub network connections via WiFi and Ethernet

Here is the recent Events log for a simple Virtual Motion Sensor meshed from another hub. It follows a 3:10pm reboot with database rebuild:

Soft reset and restoration to a cloud backup from before the issues ... no luck either: other two hubs do not appear in HubMesh Active hubs.

Functionality restored for the past 30 hours, so closing the issue.

  • Soft reset + restore on the problem hub
  • Wait 10 minutes, reboot other hub #1
  • Wait 10 minutes, reboot other hub #2
  • Wait 10 minutes, reboot problem hub
  • Wait 10 minutes, reboot router and all access points
