Hubitat <-> Smartthings

Hi all, new HE user here. Almost done switching everything over from Smartthings as well as moving all of my WebCore automations over to Rule Machine. I am finding myself needing to keep Smartthings around for a bit more than I initially thought. 1 big reason is Android Auto. I've been so used to having some home control available through Smartthings on my truck's Android Auto that I really don't want to lose. The other reason I want to keep it around is my Dakboard screens and the devices I like to monitor there to see at a glance (doors, locks, water sensors, etc.). I know I can use Sharp Tools for this but am not really wanting to invest time and effort into it.

That being said, I found a way to make it all work by using Alexa to bridge HE & ST, but this is a bit clunky in that there's so many routines and automations to keep everything in sync.

I know about POST & GET web requests and installed the Maker API app in HE as well as the web request driver on my Smartthings - but that's where I get lost. I've read and read but still do not understand how to make it work so the 2 hubs communicate through my LAN(?). I can't find an example of this or a tutorial on how it works, in order to wrap my head around it. Could anyone help with this or provide a link to a tutorial?

I would suggest you look at Node-red with Samsung Automation Studio pallet. Then also look at virtual edge drivers to create devices in Smartthings. Once you got virtual devices then just use Node-red to keep them in sync.
