An initial test of the driver is working with on/off. I'll do more digging this weekend. I have a couple other drivers to finish, first, but this one is promising
FYI that ST driver was made for the old Osram manufactured bulbs. Not sure if these features work with the newer bulbs, since they have a different SOC.
Thanks for the heads up. I'll install one onto my smartthings hub and see how it responds with that driver over there
If you need a Hubitat tester, I've got a couple of older Osrams RGBW A19s that I can throw on one of my Hubitat Elevations.
So, good news. The effects do work on SmartThings on the newer A19 bulbs.
Nice! I realized after the fact that I could have put one of my bulbs on ST and tested it for you. But I’m sure you wanted to see for yourself anyway.
No worries! That certainly would have worked—but I also don't really like the way it's implemented in ST, so it was probably good for me to see how it works with my own eyes
The feature to change the power on level and ct/color (I think that was in this driver) won’t work with the newer bulbs and isn’t necessary. They already do this if they have been on at the setting for I believe 30 seconds.
Giving this a bump. Any chance you were able to get this driver working? I have a few of these bulbs and am super interested in this driver if you have time to port it over. Thank you, either way!
I actually pushed it back and focused on porting the gateway over, instead. I'll have to take a look at this, again.
Bump. Any news on a driver? I am in the process of moving my stuff over from SmartThings and would love to be able to use the color loop function of these lights in Hubitat. I would get the gateway but I'm not sure it would be worth it since it will be a brick in less than a year. Thanks!
Unfortunately, no. I’ve had a few other projects supersede this. I’ve also switched away from Lightify for the most part.
Bummer. I guess I will be keeping some of my lights on SmartThings for now. Thanks for letting us know.
I don't know if I'd get bummed out quite yet. I just made a lot of progress—now that I actually see how the commands are sent. I'll keep on it tomorrow, but it's not far.
Any progress ? Thanks.
