I was notified that there is an update. I allowed for the update and it has not worked since.
To make it easier for support@hubitat.com to help you (tagging @bobbyD @gopher.ny), you may wish to provide the following information:
- Which model Hubitat hub (C3, C4, C5, C7)?
- Was the update to platform 2.2.5.119?
- Is the LED in the front of your hub lit up? What is its color?
- Can you reach the diagnostic tool at "http://your_hubitats_ip:8081"?
- Can you reach the Hubitat at "http://your_hubitats_ip"?
Please try using diagnostics tool to revert back to 2.2.4 and then again "revert" to 2.2.5. That helped a number of people experiencing exactly the same symptoms with this update. The diagnostics tool can be accessed at http://your.hubs.ip.address:8081/
aaiyar,
- the model is Hub Elevation C7
- I am not sure what the version was. But I only just got the device a couple of days ago. I would assume, then, that the version is known? And, the update was today, so I suppose that version is also known?
- The color is blue.
- Yes, it is reachable at: http:// 192.168.0.209:8081/
- No, it isn't reachable at http:// 192.168.0.209/
At http:// 192.168.0.209:8081/, I find this:
Hub Information
Platform Version:
hub-2.2.5.119
Hardware Version:
Rev C-7
IP Address:
192.168.0.209
Diagnostic Tool Version:
1.0.81
I went down to 2.2.4 and things worked again, but when I went to 2.2.5, things stopped working again. So, I am going back down to 2.2.4 and staying there.
Thanks
Did you use the hub diagnostic tool to revert to 2.2.5? Or did you start the hub FW udpate again from the Hub Settings menu?
@gopher.ny was suggesting you do the former. In many cases the update has completed, but the reboot after is failing. In those cases there is an option to revert to 2.2.5 in the Hub Diagnostics menu. Note: Mine says 2.2.5.117 becuase I was running a version in the beta program. Yours will say 2.2.5.119 if that version is available to revert to.
I used the app that responds at 8081 to do the revert to 2.2.4 and the upgrade to 2.2.5.
So the rollback to previous from the hub diagnostics menu failed when you chose 2.2.5.119 to roll back to from the Hub Diagnostics menu?
I used the site at 8081 to go from the failed 2.2.5.119 to 2.2.4. I then tested the site at the normal address and it worked again. I was able to log in and do things.
I returned to 8081 and went from 2.2.4 to 2.2.5.119 and that failed. Nothing worked again at the normal address.
I then used the site at 8081 to go from 2.2.5.119 to 2.2.4 and things started to work again.
Thanks for the details. @bobbyD or @gopher.ny may have more suggestions.
Downloading the latest version (again) from diagnostics tool and "reverting" to it would be the next and least disruptive step with the update.
