Hubitat Elevation® Model C-8 - Not working (Blue LED out of the box)

Hi I have just got my new C8 but i plug it in and the LED stays blue and nothing else happens. i have looked at the guidance and it suggest to do a factory reset. I dont know what to do, can some one please help me to get started.

Welcome. That’s definitely not normal. If you know the hub’s IP address you could try to do a reboot and database rebuild from the diagnostics menu: http:\\<yourHubIp>:8081

Thanks, but its not even connecting to the network, I can connect to its wifi but can I access it directly via that?
Thanks

Don’t think so. I’ll copy @support_team to get some attention on this thread, but while you’re waiting you might want to file a Warranty Claim in case the hub needs replacing,

Can you temporarily plug it into an ethernet port on your router?
Then you can use https://findmyhub.hubitat.com/ to find the IP and connect to the diagnostic tool.

I connected it via ethernet but nothing showed up on my system.

thanks for this, just put in a warranty claim so what what can be done.

Press the network reset button on the bottom of the hub for 7 seconds with a toothpick or paperclip (it will be the only round hole out of all the square ones). Do this while connected to your switch/router.

Now try going to findmyhub.hubitat.com

If that doesn't work

Download angry ip scanner to your pc and scan your local network for the hub. Once you find it go to http://whateveripaddressisshownforthehub:8081 and do a soft reset

If you are able to do this, I suspect amazon sent you a used hub (which happens. They get a return and put it in inventory when it should be returned to hubitat)

If you put in a warranty claim, you'll hear back. They've been backed up a bit lately. @bobbyD
