Hubitat DOA

Hi all,

I recently purchased a Hubitat C-7 but it appears to be dead on arrival. I plugged it into my router via the included ethernet cable, then connected power - no lights or any indication of functionality after several minutes. I submitted a warranty request yesterday but was curious if a post might provide answers/move things along.

Thanks!

No lights isn't a good sign.

Did you try a different power supply?

We've got your request, mind confirming that using a different power supply doesn't make a difference?

Update: I don't have another power supply readily available but I did get to thinking that any USB port should provide the necessary 5V. Indeed, I re-connected to the router and a USB port on my PC and got a blue light, red light, no light cycle followed by blue light, stable green light. Additionally, I can find the hub via the network. So I guess the power supply is DOA.

So you just need a generic usb charger unit... Good deal... Rare to see one of those bad out of the box..

This is not a long-term solution. The hub needs 1A at 5V. USB2 ports are limited to 0.5A.

And I know the hub dies when underpowered for a long time (like 3-4 months)
