Hubitat control of HomeKit devices

If I create 3 virtual devices, (Bedroom, Kitchen, Living Room), that can go on and off and dim in Hubitat, can these devices control actual HomeKit rooms?

If you set up your rule in homekit to watch the status of those switches, yes. Also the reverse. If you create a rule that effects that virtual switch hubitat will do something based on a rule you set on hubitat.

That is going to be iffy. Apple Home automations are extremely limited. It will be easy to setup a rule in Home to turn things on/off based on a device shared from HE, but you wonโ€™t be able to do anything complex like following a dimmer. I really hope Apple expands on the capabilities of Home automations, but as it is now, itโ€™s very basic.

If I forget dimmer capability can we get solid control of the HomeKit switches?

Yes. Also, you can set a dimmer level with a switch activation and that works, but it would be tedious to create many rules in Home and would require multiple switches if you wanted multiple dim levels.
