net::ERR_ADDRESS_UNREACHABLE
When I get this error none of my devices will work. It happened this morning. The light shows green and my eero will see it online. But I have to unplug power from it and plug it back in. Everything will work.
@evanv25 I removed identifying information from your post...
That said, do a reboot with a database rebuid. Eero's tend to have issues. If you can attach it via hardwire to your router that would be more ideal. See how the database rebuild does though....
When you can't reach it can you get to yourhubip:8081 ?
I will try the database rebuild. Something could have gotten corrupted. When i try to access it on my pc i get the same error. If the eero had more portd i would hardwire it but have my eufy homebase hardwired atm.
do a DHCP reservation for it. Then Press the network reset button on the bottom of the hub with a toothpick or paperclip for 7 or more seconds. (It will be the only round hole out of all the square ones)
Yes as long as the devices don't involve cloud based devices. Those automations won't. Also if your wifi AP goes, any wifi devices even if local will not work as the hub won't talk directly to those without the AP. Zigbee and z-wave stuff will continue chugging along. The reason wifi would have an issue is obvious.
This morning my ge zwave switches didnt turn off From the automations. I couldnt get into the diag tool via ip:8081. When i go look at my hub on the app is shows (hubname) cloud. I tried to reset the device via reset button and it wouldnt respond. Once i killed power and powered it back on. The app shows the hub as local instead of cloud.
So is your hub on wifi or hard wired to your router? If your wifi and WAN was out but lan was active your phone will not connect. If you connect from a pc hard wired to the same switch as the hub (or hardwired switches) likely you would have been able to connect. Conversely there are some routers without rhyme or reason that shut down all connectivity when WAN is down. It's quite annoying. I need your exact circumstances for the following....
1: How is your hub connected. Wifi or Hardwired ethernet?
2: Was either wifi or ethernet down when this happened?
3: Did you try to get to the device from a PC or the diag port from a PC or just try to use your phone?
If the light is green it is likely not locking up. I would bet dollars to donuts it has to do with eero. There have been a lot of problems using those with certain IOT devices like Hubitat. If you have an old router and plug a PC in and the hub in I bet it works fine without internet. Was your PC directly connected with ethernet and the hub to ethernet to the same eero at the same time?
For AP's I can't recommend Unifi enough. Use them at home and in business' I have 5 in my house all with gigabit backhaul. Also you can pickup a usb/usbc to rj45 adapter for less than 10 bux on amazon.
