Hubitat Apps no longer showing up

All,

I have a c7 running 2.2.4.153. When I am installing apps via package manager or manually uploading the code. The apps are no longer showing up under the apps page to configure.

I have tried switch bindings and auto on/off and they no longer allow me to configure them. They show installed but I can't see them on the application page. How do I troubleshoot or proceed?

Have you tried a reboot?

If that doesn’t make them show, you may have a corruption issue with your database. Way to correct is make a backup and download (Settings, backup and restore), apparently that prunes out the bad stuff), then soft reset and restore your backup.

Soft reset procedure is here:

Thanks. I had to goto a really old version of the DB and now everything appears to be functioning.

Looks like package manager itself is corrupt and will not uninstall.

Any idea how to force an uninstall?

Go to Apps Code section. Click on Hubitat Package Manager. Then click on Delete.

And you probably did this already, but have you tried clicking the add user app button on the apps page to make sure it's there?
Maybe it's installing the code but not the app itself?

Thanks this wasn't it. I ended up having to revert firmware back to an old version along with the db. Then upgraded package manager and repaired a bunch of apps. This seems to of fixed the issue. I am now attempting an upgrade back to newer firmware.

It might be instructive to figure out what corrupted your database. On a UPS? Power fail? Pull plug for non-clean shutdown?

I honestly think it was the firmware upgrades. I only noticed it because some automations started acting flaky. Once I found some time to start troubleshooting I noticed switches were not reporting status back properly. I thought it was related to the Lutron firmware and called their support. Once I did the soft reset as instructed here, those devices started working properly again and reporting status.

Something with the two most recent firmware upgrades.

A couple of comments:

(1) make sure that you make and download a backup of your good database with 2.2.4.153 in case you have to do the soft reset dance again.

(2) 2.2.4.153 is just outstanding on my C-7. I let it sit overnight, and background Z-Wave Plus repair/rerouting seems to be working, quite a few route optimizations. My devices have never been faster. I’m happy. Obviously, your experience was different.

(3) I understand that the issues are being addressed, are believed to be related to all the background route optimizations in situations where the mesh is not strong, and that a hot fix update is coming to better handle the weak mesh situation. I’m not a beta tester (my wife, of now one year, would not be happy if lights don’t work), so I have no inside information other than my belief that it’s being addressed by staff who are working hard.

It would say its still in use and not allow me to delete. Something was corrupt with package manager it appears. I had to revert back to oder firmware and DB. I upgraded package manager there to the latest and made sure everything was working and then firmware upgraded back to the latest.

Things appear to be semi normal.

I am kind of used to these bugs unfortunately. When I dumped Smartthings and came to C7 I had nothing but pairing issues and headaches. I had everything stable minus any automations that turned 5+ devices on or off. The only reason I started messing with the hub is because things started acting funky. Switches not reporting correctly, thermostats saying they were cooling but actually heating etc.

Yes, I've seen that as well once w/an app, can't remember which one now. I got out of it somehow w/out having to backup to older fw/db, luckily. Glad you're back to mostly normal.
