Yes I do, and I have said as much several times in the forum. But I also accept it for what it is, strengths and areas that need improvement, recognize that it is a work in progress, just shrug my shoulders, and sprinkle repeaters all over the house so that antenna size becomes a non-issue.

Awww, come on! Crack open the case and replace the antenna. It is just 1 blob of solder per antenna.

All kidding aside, a boring coil antenna even should give a 1-2 dB increase over the PCB antenna they are currently using, A proper external antenna probably closer to 2-4 dB (depending on which radio and which antenna used).
I have tons of both 2.4ghz and 900mhz antenna lying around... I just haven't ever gotten that bored. lol
