Just purchased a new elevation after several weeks of reading about it and being fed up with Smartthings. However, it will not register ... it is assigned an IP from the router and is on the same network as the computer. However, the portal shows nothing. Checked with support and they suggested unplugging it and waiting 30 seconds ... really ... that is all they got? At this point, looks like I have $99 coaster and am stuck with SmartThings ... at least it worked somewhat.
Really disappointed.
Reach back out to support. They will get you sorted.
I told them that did not work. They have not responded with anything else (about 1.5 hours ago). I don't know anything else to do at this point.
Ok..
It may not be as silly as you think.
I have two hubs and both of them took a couple of reboots before they appeared in the portal.
One thing to note....
After the reboot leave it for about 10 mins to settle down before looking again in the portal.
(A new hub seems to take a while to build itβs db etc for the first time)

I have rebooted 2 times ... been 1 hour since last reboot and still nothing.
You have said that you have assigned a fixed/reserved dhcp ip address.
Did you confirm that you can ping the ip from your pc?
Andy
I have not assigned it a fixed IP as of yet, but I am able to successfully ping it from the computer.
I sent you a private message, please take a look at it.
The hub just showed up in the portal. I don't know why there was such a delay. Nevertheless, thanks to all those to offered assistance.
Just a followup for those who might be using ATT Fixed Wireless Internet like me ... the delay probably was related to that type of service as apparently the hub and computer were reporting different external IP addresses for some reason. As best I can tell (ATT will not tell you anything), all subscribers are behind an industrial grade router doing NAT ... so even my ATT modem has an assigned "external" IP of 10.xxx.xxx.xxx.
