I have come across a few cases where a hub variable is used in a required expression and doesn't show up as "in use" in the hub variable table. Is this expected ?
Contrived example to demonstrate:
I also have a hub variable showing as unused even though it is referenced in a Room Light instance in a "limit activation" condition. I didn't try to repro that one, though.
Did you install the rule? That's when it creates the in-use-by for variables.
Ah, there does appear to be a hole there for dates.... Will look into it.
Yep, found it. Variables for Between Two Dates missing from list to set in use. Fix in next release.
Here's an example of RL where I see this issue, but for a Number type variable... In this example I only defined a Means to Activate, did not bother with anything else, but adding devices to automate etc doesn't change anything it seems.
Did you hit Done or Update after defining the Means to Activate?
I did. Both for good measure. Also created a new RL instance in a different hub, same thing, so any kind of database issue seems unlikely.
