Hub unreachable after power outage

Hello, can someone help me recover my c7 hub?

I cannot connect to it. It is set to a static IP, I can see it in my router devices, not reachable through the app, through any web browser on a computer, or through the 8081 tools page. It is unresponsive to ping.

I’ve tried hub reboot through power cycling, router reboot, and different Ethernet ports in the router, http://findmyhub.hubitat.com/ sees nothing.

Full story: We had a series of brown outs last night and now the hub cannot be reached. My hub was in a central location in the house with no UPS. All network equipment was UPS protected.

We Woke up to the dreaded all the lights are in different states and nothing is responsive. My WAF is plummeting. Please help me find the hub.

Quickest way to recover is probably to use the network reset button on the bottom of the hub.

If you are accidentally blocked from accessing your hub due to an incorrect or unknown IP address setting, turn the hub over and use the point of a pen to press the small button just beneath the surface of the hub casing for at least 7 seconds.

All of the holes on the bottom of the hub are square in shape, but one hole is round. With the hub upside-down and the Ethernet port at the top, the round hole will be in the top row, sixth from the right.

Worked! Thank you!!

It slid right into its static IP address from before assigned by the router.

Now, how do I keep this from happening again/what caused this? There’s a setting to automatically renew DHCP every so often in the network settings, should I use that?

I had it turned off by someone’s suggestion when I was having issues with the hub crashing randomly

Should continue to work at this point. Normally rebooting the router will re-establish the connection, but if the hub came up while the router was still booting it will default to a 169.254.x.x address (DHCP not available default).
