Installed HE about a week ago, connected all my devices, built a few dashboards and all was good. I'm 66 yo and not as tech savvy as most of you. After update, I am unable to connect to server, I have a blue light on the device/hub. I have tried to reboot modem, reboot of hub, still unable to connect to server. Internet connection is very good. Support states they will research? Perhaps someone can walk me through getting my hub up and running again? It sucks not having any of my devices working through my hub! Please help!!
Thanks, Ed
Have you tried http://HubIP:8081 and rebooting from there?
there isn't a server involved. Can you get to the maintenance port? http://yourhubip:8081 Have you reserved an IP in your router for the hubitat? (Reccommended) On your phone app, go to settings then select hub, does it find it?
Even when I click on that, I get can't connect to server message?
I'm guessing your hub's IP changed, you want to go into your router and set a DHCP reservation to keep that from happening or once on the newest version you can now assign a static IP. You should be able to look at the DHCP list o your router to find the hub's current IP.
If the led is blue I'm guessing you had an issue updating.
@bobbyD posted this on facebook.
Give it a try it may work for you.
Incident: some people reported that hubs are not starting after updating to latest release.
Here are some things to do if update gets stuck:
-
Reboot the hub from there, see if it comes up.
-
If not, go to http://your.hubs.ip.address:8081/ again, revert to previous version.
-
After it comes up, go to http://your.hubs.ip.address:8081/ yet again and "revert" to version 2.2.5.
-
It's possible that 2.2.5 is not showing as an option at this point. Use Download latest version to get it onto the hub. Doing so doesn't switch to the downloaded version, so once download is done, use revert option to switch.
-
If it still doesn't come up, revert to previous version and send us an email at support@hubitat.com.
Can't access the hub with iPhone either!, Can someone walk me through on how to access the router and reserve an IP? Most of this is foreign to me!

@ejbc20
Have you seen my post above.
You need to do this from a browser on the pc/mac that is on the same lan as your hub.
Do you know the ip address of your hub?
If the hub is online the led would be green. Red is shutdown, blue is booting up or offline.
Please check what devices are connected to your router. The exact steps differ for each router, but every one of them has some page that lists all connected devices.
The hub gets its IP auto assigned by the router. Most likely, it got a new one. The service running on port 8081 is not a part of the update, so it should be available even if main application is not.
What is your IP subnet (What was the hub's IP before you lost connection)? Your router would normally be .1 of the subnet so if your hub's IP had been 192.168.5.60 then the router would likely be 192.168.5.1. What brand router do you have?
You can also find the router IP from your iPhone Settings->WiFi->click the info icon next to your WiFi name then scroll down to where it shows your phones IP and Router.
I'm using the EERO router and the IP address listed in the router for the Hubitat is the same as listed in Hubitat!
Alright, please give it a full power cycle (unplug from the power, wait ~30 seconds, plug back in).
It's not the usual way to restart it, but there's no way to shut it down properly,
Keep the network cable plugged in.
Ok did it and still have a blue light?
Is the hub on the same IP? The goal right now is to get access to port 8081 (and revert to a previous version and possibly back to 2.2.5).
The router IP has a .1 and the Hub has a .80
