After my recent experience (accidentally deleting my complex SmartLighting configuration when I started to migrate from ST to HE) I decided I would backup my HE Hub before installing the new release. To my surprise (pleasantly), I found the hub keeps several generations of backups! What a nice touch! I downloaded the latest backup (out of an abundance of caution). Then I performed the update. No problems.

That is one of the things that sets HE apart from others. SmartThings never got a backup option. If your hub dies, you have to start all over, I have restored from a backup several times when I mess around and want to go back. Never failed me yet.
It's a simple thing but potentially a lifesaver!
