Hub running low on memory

I've been getting intermittent warnings the last few weeks that my hub memory is low. I'm not really sure how much memory the hub has or what's using it. Using the Hub Information Device driver I can see my free memory is 69712. I'm guessing this is maybe KB? So a little under 70MB?

I go to the logs and look in app stats, and everything looks mostly normal. I have a dashboard with size 48,149 which seems abnormally high. Also, HPM is using 31,331. Pretty much everything else is below 5,000. It's unclear whether this is the size in memory or the size in storage.

After a reboot, my free memory went up to 460080. So that's a pretty noticeable difference. In the log, the dashboard and HPM are still using the exact same memory, so I suspect that is storage space.

Should I just create a rule to reboot in the middle of the night if the free memory gets to low? It just seems like the Java GC should handle that.

That's what I do. I experience the same type of memory decrease over time on my C5.

If I recall correctly at approximately 85000 the hub will issue a low memory alert. I reboot my C7 at around 100-120K.

Can you PM me the hub id?

The memory reported is on OS level, and there's nothing that clearly attributes leaks to this or that app/device/system process. I can try looking for clues in the engineering logs, though.

Through experimentation, JVM metrics turned out to be pretty useless at prediction of whether hub runs smoothly or not, so they aren't reported any more.

I just got this warning for the first time today. Looks like free memory is about 64MB. I don't have any new apps or devices. How do I track down what's gobbling up memory? Is there a solution other than to reboot? Uptime is currently 35 days.
