Hub not working after update

I tried 8081 aswell… it’s not working

And you still cannot find the hub's MAC address in your router's ARP table correct? If that is correct, then the hub's network interface is dead.

Is this mean I need to buy a new one. Right? That’s so weird all I did was update :disappointed:

Update wouldn't cause the failure, but rebooting/restarting the hub could surface a HW problem poised to occur.

So you looked for the MAC address on the back of the hub (really long set of numbers and letters) and checked that against the list that arp -a gives (run the apr -a at a Windows command line). If you need help getting to a windows command line, put cmd in the windows search field...then run the Command prompt app.

Look for your hub's MAC address on in the list under the Pysyical Address column:

a day before, i had all my scenes were running and the hub was in green light. since yesterday after changing to new power supply 5V, 1A power supply. The hub turned to solid blue light and my scene stoped working.

You hub isn't connected to your network from the arp command above, so you also can't access the diagnostic tool at "hub IP address":8081.

Try the network reset option again. Hold it for 8-9 seconds and the hub will reboot if it's been done correctly.

If it still isn't connecting, restore the power supply you were originally using and see how that boots up.

I have reboot the hub by holding it 9 secs. hub showed solid blue light and i search for the network by arp -a couldnt find
then i took off the new power cable waited for 5 mins and plugged back in the old power cable that i was originally using. The hub turned on with solid blue light.
and again i tried to reboot the hub by holding it 9 secs. this time there was flashing green light for like 5 secs and turn to solid green light for like 1 min and now turned back to solid blue light.
i searched for ip address when it was green and blue light both times but couldnt find the ip address that has my MAC address.

Use a power supply that can provide 5V and at least 2A.

Currently my previous power supply is 5v 2A

Since you’re following the suggestion someone made to try a different power supply (in case your old one was somehow becoming problematic), you’ll need to use a new power supply with similar specs.

1 amp is probably not sufficient.

Is the light showing green after a bit?

There was a Green light after I’ve put back to my old power supply and after rebooting. there was flashing green light for like 5 secs and turned to solid green light for like 1 min and now turned back to solid blue light.

I see solid blue light since then

Solid blue means the platform isn't loaded (likely the db has been corrupted from the power cycling without proper shutdown). The only way to get to it now and fix it is to go to whateverthehubipis:8081

Have you tried doing a DHCP reservation in your router?

So i tried to set up DHCP reservation, i was able to login to MyIPaddress:8081

what is the best thing i can do next, @bobbyD

A soft reset and database restore.

So first i do a soft reset and then restore to previous version ?

You'll restore a local backup of your current database.

i gotta say after trying to get back my hub working for a month was stressful. now finally i got it working.
i would like to thank you each and everyone for helping me out..
solution was i have set a DHCP reservation, then did a network reset, login to MyIPaddress:8081, did a soft reset and restored from backup. Its strange that tried DHCP reservation before dint work in the beginning

I would highly recommend a Hub Protect subscription. Especially since it backs up the zigbee and z-wave radios whereas a local backup does not. Glad everything is working now!
