When I got home tonight the hub isnt responding in my web browser. I tested on motion based automation and it did not work. I almost tried a reboot but figured I should check in here first.
Strange... same thing with me.
Woke up this morning and it was hung. Had to reboot it to get it back online. Last hub events logs were at 12:02 and there were location events after that.
After rebooting it looks like everything is up and running but if there is any more info you want let me know.
A reboot seemed to get things working again.
I have never had a full lockup of my Hubitat Elevation hub. For those of you that are having issues like this, it would probably be very wise to contact support@hubitat.com to report these problems. Also, it would be helpful to know if you are using any custom Apps or Drivers, as these are probably the most likely culprits for causing problems. Listing these apps/drivers might help identify a trend/root cause.
Sent in an email just in case they wanted to look into it more.
This is the first lockup I've experienced. I did have an issue with schedules locking up and found out it was related to my wemo plugs that were for some reason causing the hub to hang waiting on a response.
Strange though that a driver could cause the hub to hang. I figured they would have some sort of isolation.
We will see if anything comes out of this.
Groovy is sandboxed, so that code can't alter/harm outside of the sandbox. However, that doesn't prevent infinite loops, etc. within the sandbox. It's a quadcore CPU so getting it to lock up is some achievement!
