What is going on with the pro hub. I have been having a lot of problems controlling, especially all my z-wave devices. So far I have rebooted my hub a few times but the hub is not working correctly The hub is not responding. And it takes a long time to respond if it actually works
You aren't giving us much information. Have you shut down and disconnected the power for 1 minute? (this will clear the radio)
Have you checked your logs?
Possible rogue z-wave device.
In an over abundance of caution, I would do a backup first… just in case the DB wants a restore on the way back up. It’s not super common.
Also know know what hub you have for ZIP vs zwavejs
What zwave devices you have as some are known to case issues when in their death throes like the GE 4008.
Are any of them power metering?
I’m not sure what else to add. Everything was working fine a few days ago, but now none of my devices are responding. I have 7 X-Wave inlines and over 10 Leviton Z-Wave switches that are all offline. On top of that, whenever I try to access my dashboard, I only see a blank page with the loading circle, and even when it finally loads, some devices still don’t respond.
I did that a few times, and didn’t work
From a PC can you get to port 8081? If so do a database rebuild
Did you change ANYTHING a few days ago?
If not, it could be a device that went bad.
I'm not clear on this, but could a bad power plug also be the culprit?
Is this a new hub or have you had it some time and it is now playing up?
Do you have Hub Protect?
Maybe raising a warrenty claim may be the way to go. Warranty – Hubitat Support
I have a Hubitat Elevation Model C‑8 Pro with Hub Protect, purchased when it was first released. The last change I made was the hub update a few days ago. This morning, I used the diagnostic section to downgrade to the previous update. While that improved things slightly, I’m still experiencing long delays. For example, when I turn off a light using a Z‑Wave switch, it can take up to 45 seconds to respond from the dashboard, or sometimes it doesn’t respond at all. And my Z-wave iBlinds are completely unresponsive. I’m not sure how to perform a database rebuild. When I attempt a Z‑Wave rebuild, I get many failed nodes. I need to fix this ASAP because my wife Is not happy that we can not control the iBlinds, and she is going to ask me to remove them and not to automate them any more.
Could you please advise me on how to start a warranty claim? Thank you.
As @sidjohn1 mentions further up, first take a backup manually:
- Go to the hubs page in a browser, then click on Settings > Backup & Restore
- Under ' Create and download new local backup, click the button.
Then to do a database rebuild:
- Settings > Reboot
- Click the 'Show advanced options' and select 'Rebuild database on reboot'
- Click yes
I think you need to go through some of these suggestions first before making a warranty claim. It could be a very simple fix.
Do I need to change my zwave to Switch to ZWaveJS?
I will try that
I would leave that well alone at this point
I already did the database reboots a few times and it didn’t work. .l
The next step usually suggested is to check whether there are issues with any of your Z Wave devices that could be causing the problems. If you go to:
Settings > Z Wave Details
Post the contents of that entire table - don't copy and paste, post it as screenshots (multiple is fine). The content of that table may provide clues.....
Yes but because you've screen shot from your phone not a PC browser you've missed off the last 6 columns so there's insufficient information there...
You have at least 1 ghost it looks like....
How do I know it is a ghost device?
