I have 3 hubs (c5, c7, c8 pro) which have all been working fine until yesterday. I pushed updates to all 3 HE hubs (to 2.3.9.143). Around the same time I also updated Unifi OS to 4.03 and Network to 8.2.93 on my Dream Machine Pro. I then noticed that my devices connected via HubMesh were offline. I could still connect to each hub individually and also control the devices via their main hub (c8 pro). My c5 and c7 HubMesh does work, but the c8 pro HubMesh does not work to either of the other 2 hubs.
I have tried to revert the HE hubs back in firmware. This did not make a difference.
I connected the hubs to a different router and HubMesh did work to all 3 hubs on the latest Hubitat firmware.
So I believe that somehow the Network update is causing me issues, but I am curious why it would only affect the c8 pro hub? I am working through going back in firmware on the Unifi side, but haven't gotten that accomplished yet.
Does anyone have any specific Unifi Network Rules they utilize for Hubitat Hubs?
I had similar hub mesh issue after applying latest update. To fix this hub mesh issue I had to go into settings/hub mesh then re-connect hub mesh which initially didn’t work then I rebooted both hubs and did the same process and the hub mesh then reconnect but it took a while after clicking reconnect for the secondary hub to show up and device to come back online
Hub Mesh uses MDNS, possible the updates to Unifi OS or UDMP, or any configs after may have affected that on your network? You could try rolling back the UDMP...
Are the hubs connected to the same switch? Is that switch also Unifi?
I ask because a buddy with a UDR recently updated the firmware to the latest Unifi OS and network app and suddenly had Ethernet connectivity issues on his home network. He was using a different brand switch within his network structured wiring panel and it wasn’t until he updated that switches firmware did the issue go away. Odd that Unifi update caused issues with another brand switch but issue was solved. Bring this up in case you have a similar setup with multiple networking devices.
I switched the ethernet ports the hubs are plugged into and tagged them for my IOT network (same tag as previous ports) and magically HubMesh started to work again. I need to investigate a little further to determine what settings are different between the ports.
