When I first started experimenting with the Hub Mesh, I found out that my 2 testing hubs had the same name. I was able to change the name in the location and modes screen. The corrected name now shows in the Hubitat Elevation Portal, but here is what I am still seeing in my 3rd hub that can see the 2 test ones:
Any idea how to get the correct name to show up now that I have fixed it?
Please restart the hub, it will start with a clean slate and reacquire other hubs' names.
Didn't think about hub being renamed on the fly. Devices - yes (mesh code handles that), hubs - no.
I have tried rebooting both the renamed and the viewing hub and the name did not change on the viewing hub. The new name does show up under "Link to remote devices:", but in the "Active local hubs" and the "Follow another hub's mode changes:" sections it still shows the old name.
I wouldn't have renamed on the fly if the 2 hubs hadn't had identical names that make it hard to distinguish them.
Since you already rebooted renamed hub, please go ahead and reboot viewing hub one more time. That should pick up new name. I'll make the changes to deal with renamed hub for the next iteration/minor release version.
