Hub Mesh App Disabled?

Hub C8

Platform: 2.5.0.153

I’m having an issue that i can’t seem to understand or resolve.

Hub Mesh is not disabled, it is in, it works fine also. When I tap the app i get taken to this:

I soft reset it and restored the cloud backup (latest). The issue persisted (was stored in the backup?).

I didn’t even know one can disable the “App” like that. If i tap on the icon in the disabled screen, it takes me to the logs, where nothing is relevant to the mesh.

Has anyone experienced this before?

Have you tried a ‘reconnect’ by using the button in your last screenshot.

What are you seeing in Hub Mesh on your C5 and C7 hubs (assuming you have hub mesh enabled on those hubs).

C7 and C5 are healthy. And the hub mesh to/fro C8 is actually working right …

Is this happening on all your hub mesh devices to your C5 and C7?

Has the Hub Mesh switch been toggled in your Sprinklers Wind Flag device?

It’s only on the C8 … Again i ter hub communication between the 3 hubs works. I have no ideea why it shows as disabled on C8 (only)

I’ve been at it for hours now… does anyone know what would cause that ? How to fix it?

i also seem to have issues with viewing the z-wave topology and z-wave rebuild, where most if the nodes “fail” but the devices, still work …

Do I need to downgrade/restore an earlier version?

L.E.

Tried it, didn’t work

I’m afraid I cannot think of a reason why one hubs mesh works but the others don’t.

I think you’ve covered all the things I would try.

@bobbyD @gopher.ny have any ideas/suggestions?

Have you tried checking using a private/incognito window in your browser? Perhaps you have a browser cache issue causing your hub info not to update properly.

Yes. Several machines too …

Still, it would be irrelevant because i don’t think one ca ever disable disable the app itself to the poijt where it says disabled. Hub mesh is what’s considered “System app” so a regular user cannot disable it perse.

There are API’s to enable and disable apps. Maybe try this to see if you can enable the app. You will need to get the app ID by looking at the Hub Mesh link on a device In Use By tab:

Other than that you might need @gopher.ny’s assistance

I can see that as an option but … how do i get the app id ? For hub mesh that is… it doesn’t show up in the logs and no where else …

point your browser to http://[hub ip]/logs/json and search for “hub mesh”, should look like this (Chrome):

Then go directly to http://[hub ip]/installedapp/status/50 (or whatever app id you found), the enable/disable button should appear.

I easily found it by pulling up any device that is mesh enabled and went to the in use by tab. Hub mesh will be listed and it’s a clickable link and if you hover over it to view the URL or right click and copy it and paste it into a text editor you will see it.

These are great suggestions on how to find the app ID. And then, without any intervention, hours later it self healed. Right when I wanted to try them…

This would have definitely worked had it not self recover. Thank you.
