I have a new hub that needs to be on a new account of its own, and mistakenly registered it to my existing HE account. Now, when I attempt to de-register, I'm told the hub has existing subscriptions. However, I did not add any subscriptions to the new hub, and the registered devices page shows an 'Add Hub Protect' (expected since I didn't pay) and when I look at my active subscriptions, also as expected, no subscriptions show this hub. How do I get past this to unregister the hub?
The restriction is applicable to both Remote Admin and Hub Protect. If you have either and change the registration, the subscription is not transfered to your new account, so you will lose track of any active subscriptions because you will no longer be able to see them on my.hubitat.com. Because the subscription remains active, you will be billed at renewal time on the old account. I recommend going to My Account and select Subscriptions card, then cancel any active subscriptions.
Also, if the Remote Admin was enabled from a different hub, you may not see the active subscription on the hub you are trying to change the admin. However, changing the admin would cause the hub to lose the Remote Admin service.
If you don't see any active subscriptions, or don't need Remote admin on the hub, please open a case by visiting the following page and we will help you change the admin account:
I have 3 previous hubs and have subscriptions on the other 3 hubs. I do not have subscriptions that I created or enabled on the new hub. I definitely am not wanting to cancel the subscriptions on my other hubs to accomplish this deregister. I'll open a support case.
